Grant has worked in the New Zealand insurance industry for 23 years.
Grant was appointed Country Head of Marsh in June 2010. He brings to the role an accomplished track record, overseeing the development of several portfolios and having led various growth initiatives, including the establishment of Marsh & McLennan Agency – a product and placement facility for small and medium businesses – in New Zealand. |
Tony Bridgman, Executive Director, Finance

Tony is a New Zealand qualified accountant with 27 years work experience both in a CA and commercial environment.
Tony joined Sedgwick, which was subsequently purchased by Marsh, in 1994. In 1996 Tony was appointed Financial Controller of Sedgwick and later became the Financial Controller of the combined Sedgwick and Marsh McLennan firm in 1998. In January 2005 Tony was appointed Executive Director – Finance of Marsh.

Steve Walsh, Executive Director, Growth

Steve has been involved in corporate risk and insurance broking since 1993.
During this time he has managed both corporate and government clients focusing in health, research and construction. He has a Diploma in Risk Management from the Institute of Risk Management in London and has worked for Marsh since 2001.

Garry Bray, Executive Director, Middle Market

Garry has been in the insurance industry for the last 32 years.
Garry joined Marsh in 2010 from Elders Rural Holdings, where he was National Manager Financial Services. Prior to this, he spent nine years at Lumley as General Manager Insurance. Garry holds an MBA and Diploma in Business Studies and is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance(ANZIIF).

Richard Shehean, Executive Director, Wellington

Richard joined the insurance broking industry in 1994 in London.
Following six years working in the London market Richard moved to Asia where he held a number of senior management positions in both Indonesia and Hong Kong, joining Marsh New Zealand in 2008. Richard specialises in major property and casualty programmes with particular expertise where risk financing is involved. Richard is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Paul Casey, Executive Director, Marsh Risk Consulting

Paul Casey has worked in the insurance industry for over 40 years.
Paul is currently the primary adviser to Fonterra, Contact Energy, Transpower and works closely with a number of our other larger clients. He has expertise in dairy and power utility areas in particular. Paul has been with Marsh for twelve years.

Allan Beverwijk, Executive Director, Risk Management

Allan began his insurance career in 1974.
His insurance broking experience began at Sedgwick in 1983, which was subsequently bought out by Marsh. Allan had extensive corporate broking experience before becoming Director - Technical in 1995. He left Marsh in 2000 then returned in 2011 from QBE Insurance where he held a variety of roles including Commercial Underwriting Manager, Engineering Manager and National Property Manager. Allan was awarded the IBANZ Insurer Professional of the Year in 2010.

Frederic Boles, Executive Director, Financial & Professional Services

Fred has been in the insurance industry and with Marsh for 14 years.
During this time he has worked for Marsh in London, France and now New Zealand. Fred’s roles with the organisation have included Central & European Placement Leader, Financial & Professional Services Continental Europe Placement Leader and as a broker for financial institutions.

Hayley Sullivan, Executive Director, Human Resources

Hayley has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years.
She moved into HR over 10 years ago and has a wide range of experience in both HR and learning and development solutions. |
